What is Scale Building?
All models constructed are a “scaled down” version of a real ship. The model is then “fitted out” for radio control and operates on the water.
MMM Scale Division
At Metro Marine Modellers we construct models for fun to museum quality. Building a model to work on the water is more about model engineering, having fun while we do it and having a great day at the pond.
The Group meets at the Scale Captain’s house on Tuesday evenings during the winter season and at the pond during the summer. Due to the traffic congestion in Toronto area, there are several sites used in the summer. See the sailing locations page for the closest pond to you.
You can always contact our Scale Captain at ScaleCaptain@metromarine.org with any questions.
Below is a Project completer last year by one of our members. This was built from scratch and took two years.

A great RC Viking ship built by craftsman and RC enthusiast Clouse Ruthard. A must see!
