Metro Marine Modellers of Toronto, Canada
Founded in 1958, the Metro Marine Modellers offers you the opportunity to meet other modellers who are always eager to help you in this challenging and fascinating hobby. You’ll also share in many group activities that are enjoyed by active boat builders and radio control sailors. This website is intended to keep you in touch with the latest developments, and provide many helpful tips.

Visitors are always welcome at our meetings. Frequently, we have films or speakers at these meetings for the enjoyment of our members and guests. Everyone is encouraged to bring along their latest project for “show and tell”.
Presentations related to ship modelling are included in our meetings. To see what is planned, click on the entry for the meeting in “Upcoming Events” or in the club Calendar.
Our group meets at 11:30 am on the third Wednesday of every month except for July and August. The location is Trace Manes Community Center, 110 Rumsey Road, Toronto. Here is a Google map.
If you’re really ambitious, you can obtain a set of plans and start from “Scratch” with your own materials. Scratch building requires some knowledge of building methods of course, but nonetheless can be both challenging and rewarding.
Metro Marine also has a library of ship modelling magazines, plans and books available for your use.
Our club participates in a number of exhibitions where we display ship models and discuss our hobby. An overview of these exhibitions is provided here: Overview of exhibitions
